WrenchSage uses artificial intelligence (currently Google Gemini and, as a backup, Anthropic Claude) to help generate diagnostic suggestions, read fault codes from photos, and interpret vehicle readings from photos and video. Please read the following before relying on any AI-generated content in this app.
1. Informational only, not professional advice. All AI-generated content — diagnostic guidance, fault code interpretations, photo/video readings, and suggested fixes — is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for a qualified technician's own professional judgment, training, manufacturer service documentation, or proper diagnostic procedures.
2. No warranty of accuracy. AI-generated content can be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong — including misreading a photo, misidentifying a fault code, or suggesting a fix that doesn't apply to your specific vehicle. WrenchSage makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
3. You are responsible for the final decision. Every diagnosis, repair, and safety-related decision remains the sole responsibility of the technician and shop performing the work. WrenchSage does not replace independent verification, proper testing procedures, or manufacturer-specified repair steps.
4. Shared fix database is user-submitted, not verified. "Past confirmed fixes" shown from other shops are submitted by other users of the app and have not been independently verified by WrenchSage. They may not apply to your vehicle, may be incomplete, or may simply be incorrect.
5. Third-party AI services. WrenchSage relies on third-party AI providers to generate this content. WrenchSage does not control, and is not responsible for, the underlying accuracy, availability, or behavior of those third-party services.
6. No liability for reliance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WrenchSage and its owner/operator disclaim all liability for any injury, property damage, vehicle damage, financial loss, or other harm arising from reliance on AI-generated content provided through this app.
7. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
